Vail Lake Resort is an adventure park just 1 hour from San Diego, Orange County or Los Angeles, and is our series debut. Temecula is a flourishing suburban community with all the amenities athletes need on their was into or departing from the venue, as well as comfortable accommodations.  This facility is on the brink of becoming the most dynamic and versatile venue in the United States with it's capability for large concerts, wakeboarding, paddlesports of all kinds, cycling events, and camping.  Virtually any southern California airport will be good to attend this first event,  Ontario International is closest (as well as for the San Bernardino event).  Expect warm water, great single track and steep short hills.

Course details.... UPDATED 6/3/09

The course will start on the kayak... you will bike from the start to the kayak launch (1.8 miles on the bike).  There you will drop your bike and do the paddle course.  After you complete the kayak loop on the lake, you will leave your kayak on the beach and ride your bike back to the transition area.

The kayak course will include a single loop of  beautiful Vail Lake, touring all of the coves. (Distance approximately 7.5 km.)

The second leg of the race will be the mountain bike.  The mountain bike will be on fire roads and single track, approximately 15 km.  The mountain bike course will finish at the transition area where competitors will transition to the run.

The run will include some technical trails, hills, fun singletrack and a little adventure.  The run couse is approximately 6 km.

We'll expect the first finishers in just around 3 hours...about 1 hour for each discipline.
